PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nylon, also known as polyamide (PA) or nylon, is a type of synthetic polymer material with repeated amide groups (- NHCO -) in its main molecular chain. It is a thermoplastic resin that can be used as synthetic fibers or engineering plastics, characterized by high strength, wear resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance.
PRODUCT USAGE
Nylon is widely used in the fields of fibers, engineering plastics, and emerging materials due to its high strength, wear resistance, good toughness, self-lubricating properties, oil resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. The main uses are as follows:
1. Textile and Daily Necessities
① As a textile fiber, nylon has the characteristics of smoothness, wear resistance, high strength, and good elasticity, and is commonly used in the production of socks, sportswear, underwear, swimwear, umbrella fabrics, tents, fishing nets, etc.
② Nylon is widely used in daily necessities such as zippers, toothbrush bristles, ropes, fishing lines, etc.
2. Mechanical field
① Engineering plastic grade nylon is commonly used in the manufacture of components such as gears, bearings, pulleys, seals, bushings, etc. Due to its low friction coefficient and strong wear resistance, it can replace some metals.
② In the automotive industry, nylon is used for parts such as fuel pipes, radiator water chambers, intake manifolds, fan blades, etc., which have the advantages of weight reduction and oil and heat resistance.
3. Electrical and Electronic Field
① Nylon has good electrical insulation properties and stable performance under dry conditions, so it is used for cable sheaths, plug sockets, switch housings, power tool housings, etc.
② Nylon modified (such as flame-retardant nylon) is widely used in electronic component brackets, terminal sockets, connectors, and other components.
4. Packaging and film field
① Nylon film has high transparency, puncture resistance, and good barrier properties, and is commonly used in food vacuum packaging bags, pharmaceutical packaging, and composite films.
② In the engineering field, nylon film can also be used as ink substrate, capacitor film, etc.
