Dimethylacetamide, full name N,N-dimethylacetamide, chemical formula: CH3C(O)N(CH3)2, abbreviated as DMAC or DMA, molecular weight is 87.12 g/mol. Commonly used as a non-protonic polar solvent. Colorless, transparent liquid, flammable. It can be mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohol, ether, ester, benzene, chloroform and aromatic compounds, and can activate compound molecules, so it is widely used as a solvent and catalyst. It is used to make medicines and synthetic resins, and is also used as a solvent for polyacrylonitrile spinning and an extraction distillation solvent for separating styrene from C8 fractions.

PRODUCT APPLICATIONS
(1) Pharmaceutical field: Dimethylacetamide is an important pharmaceutical raw material and is widely used in the production of drugs such as amoxicillin and cephalosporins. As a solvent or co-catalyst, it improves product quality and yield compared to traditional organic solvents.
(2) Acrylic, aramid, and spandex production: In acrylic production, dimethylacetamide is used as a solvent, especially in wet processes. It helps improve product quality and post-processing performance.
(3) Polymer synthesis: Dimethylacetamide has good solubility for a variety of resins, especially polyurethane resins and polyimide resins. It is mainly used as a solvent for heat-resistant synthetic fibers, plastic films, coatings, pharmaceuticals, and acrylonitrile spinning.
(4) Organic pigments: In the production of organic pigments, dimethylacetamide as a solvent can improve product quality and color to meet export requirements.
(5) Petrochemicals: In petrochemical processes, dimethylacetamide is an excellent catalyst that can accelerate reactions such as cyclization, halogenation, cyanation, alkylation, and dehydrogenation, and increase the yield of the main products.
